Transport economics regarding the issues of the operation of integrated land-sea transport chains with three main trends:
- The issue connected with the assessment of the role of integrated transport in the formation of sustainable development, including mainly the social benefits and costs of transport activity.
- The aspect connected with the operation of sea ports as the key nodes of the land-sea transport chains including sea intermodal terminals and from this point of view the assessment of the potential and possibility of development as well as the competitiveness of the sea ports and the assessment of their role in creating the integrated land-sea transport chains.
