A word from the Dean

The Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split was founded in 1959. Originally, it began its activities as Maritime College, while since 2004 it has been functioning as the Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Split. In the course of its development, the path was not always smooth. Several studies have been developed which have been recognised on the labour market both in Croatia and worldwide. The students of the Nautical department, Marine engineering, and Marine electrical engineering and information technologies have been recognised as professionals easily finding work opportunities on shore and on board vessels. In this undertaking we are helped by our students cherishing their love of the sea, teachers with the appropriate scientific-teaching titles, but also our partners from Croatia and abroad recruiting our students.
