Enrolment requirements

All applicants for enrolment in the undergraduate studies of Maritime Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Marine Electrical and Information Technologies, and Marine Yacht and Marina Technologies must also meet the condition that they are medically fit for the study of maritime studies, which is proven by a valid medical certificate from Occupational Medicine on medical fitness for enrolment in the study or a Certificate of Medical Fitness of a Crew Member of a Maritime Ship, Boat, and Yacht of the Republic of Croatia, which is submitted upon enrolment at the Faculty.

Enrolment quotas for students in full-time status

* if there are no non-EU foreign citizens registered in the first enrolment round, candidates from the ranking list of students with regular status as citizens of the Republic of Croatia (College Admission Test) will be enrolled in the quota for non-EU candidates.

Enrolment quotas for students with part-time status

The Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split is enrolling a total of 266 students in full-time and part-time status in the academic year 2025/2026.

Applications for admission

Applications for admission to all study programs at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split are made through the National Information System for Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU), which is accessed via the website www.postani-student.hr.

Criteria for compiling the ranking list

* Physics is evaluated for admission to the following studies: Maritime Nautical Science, Naval Engineering and Marine Electrical and Information Technology.

Informatics is evaluated for admission to the following studies: Maritime Management and Maritime Yacht and Marina Technology.

Applicants who have proof of special achievements (completed secondary maritime school or completed marine engineering technician program) will be registered through NISpVU.

Registration and tuition fees

Enrollment fee

All students enrolling in the first year of undergraduate studies are required to pay an enrolment fee of 53.09 €. The enrolment fee is paid by students in full-time and part-time status.

When paying the enrolment fee, it is mandatory to provide the following information on the payment slip:

Tuition

Applicants who pay tuition fees (students in full-time status who are enrolling in the first year of study for the second time in the academic year 2025/2026 and in part-time status) are required to pay the full participation in the costs of studies/tuition fees in the amount of 1.062,00 €.

Applicants who have already studied in full-time status in another study program of the same level, which is carried out at higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, have the right to change the chosen study program once while retaining the right to subsidize the tuition fees in full, provided that they have achieved at least 55 ECTS points in the last academic year of study in the previous study program and have not acquired a qualification of the same level. Otherwise, they are required - in addition to the enrolment fee - to pay full participation in the costs of studies, in the amount of 1.062,00 €. If in the academic year 2024/2025. achieve 55 or more ECTS points in the enrolled study, applicants whose newly enrolled study is the first change of study of the same level, when enrolling in the academic year 2025/2026. will be able to regain the right to a tuition subsidy.

Applicants who have already studied in full-time status in two or more other study programs of the same level that are offered at higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, and applicants who have previously completed a study of the same level, are not entitled to a tuition subsidy from the state budget and are obliged to pay a full participation in the study costs each year until the end of the study, upon enrolment, in the amount of

Tuition is paid in one lump sum.

Enrolment

Enrolment for the first year of undergraduate studies will be done ONLINE

September 19 (Friday) 2025 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

via the web application at the link: https://upisi.pfst.hr/online/brucosi.

After the Faculty has completed the enrolment process in its entirety and enrolled applicants for the selected studies, applicants will receive feedback via email about the enrolment.

IMPORTANT!!!

Applicants who have achieved the right to enrol in the summer or autumn term and do not complete their application by the deadline for enrolment, lose their right to enrol and must pay an opportunity cost of 400 €.

Applicants who do not pay the opportunity cost cannot re-register for the same level of study in the National Information System for Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU). They will be able to re-register after paying the opportunity cost.
