Enrolment in the first year of graduate studies

Enrolment requirements

The right to apply for the competition for admission to graduate study in Maritime Navigation is open to applicants who have completed:

  • a university undergraduate study in Maritime Navigation,

  • a related university undergraduate study that includes at least the contents of STCW II/2.

The right to apply for the competition for admission to other graduate studies is open to applicants who have completed:

  • a corresponding university undergraduate study (the corresponding university undergraduate study for admission to the graduate study in Maritime Management is a completed undergraduate study in Maritime Management or an undergraduate study in Maritime Yacht and Marina Technology),

  • a related university undergraduate study at a maritime, transport or technical faculty.

Applications

  • Applications for the competition for admission to the first year of the graduate study will be accepted ONLINE on September 22 (Monday) and September 23 (Tuesday) 2025 from 09:00 to 13:00..

  • Applicants are required to fill out the ONLINE form that will be available on the Faculty s website.

  • The applicant is required to pay the costs of the admission procedure in the amount of 13.27€. When making the payment, it is mandatory to provide the following information:

    • RECIPIENT: Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split, Ruđera Boškovića 37, 21000 SPLIT

    • RECIPIENT S IBAN: HR2324070001100059179

    • CALL NUMBER: OIB (student)

    • MODEL: HR00

    • DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE OF PAYMENT: Name and surname, admission procedure for the Academic Year 2025/2026.

Required documents

The following documents must be attached to the completed form:

  • certificate/diploma of completed university undergraduate studies,

  • certified transcript of grades from previous studies (to be submitted by applicants who completed undergraduate studies at another faculty),

  • copy of the certificate of citizenship or other proof of citizenship,

  • original birth certificate or electronic record of civil status issued through the e-Citizens service,

  • copy of a valid ID card (no need to be certified) with presentation of the original - if the applicant does not have a valid ID card, proof of residence must be provided,

  • • confirmation of payment of the applicant s application based on data from the Faculty s website.

Classification procedure

The classification procedure is carried out without a classification exam. The classification procedure determines the ranking list of applicants for each individual study and includes the evaluation of the success achieved in the undergraduate study, which is determined according to the total average weighted grade during the study.

When determining the ranking list of applicants, preference is given to applicants who have completed the corresponding university undergraduate study.

For applicants who have achieved the right to enrol based on the application under the item: related university undergraduate study of the maritime, transport or technical faculty, the committee will determine the distinguishing subjects that must be passed before enrolling in the 2nd year of the graduate study.

Results of the admission procedure

The results of the admission procedure (ranking list of applicants) will be published on September 24, 2025 (Wednesday) at 1:00 p.m. on the notice board and the Faculty website.

Enrolment

Enrolment of applicants who have achieved the right to enrol in the university graduate study will be carried out on September 25 (Thursday) and September 26 (Friday) 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ONLINE via the Faculty website.

Additional Information

The instructions published on the Notice Board and the Faculty website are integral parts of this Competition.
